Keynote Guts & Courage
*Why the biggest shift in L&D is a question of identity*
Many organisations have long known that training alone is not enough to create a warm learning climate. And yet, we keep designing, improving and optimising training programmes. Not because we don't know better — but because a different approach is daunting.
But what would happen if L&D no longer held the reins on learning? What if L&D not only rethought its offering, but dared to build new systems: new rituals, new responsibilities, new feedback and learning loops — even if that means L&D "delivers" less visibly, but has more impact?
In this keynote, Els Minner moves beyond the question of whether L&D needs to change, and focuses on what this new role concretely looks like today: how, as an architect of learning contexts, you learn to work with learning motivation, learning leadership and learning within the work itself — and how you make choices within that which genuinely create impact, even when it means giving up classic certainties. Drawing on scientific insights and years of practical experience, Els underlines why the shift towards a new L&D identity is necessary.
This keynote is not about yet another approach or methodology. It touches on the identity of L&D professionals and trainers today: who are you when you are no longer the expert providing ready-made solutions, but the facilitator who sets learning in motion?
This keynote is an invitation to guts and courage, and was developed for the target audience of L&D and HR professionals.
